The people have overwhelmingly rejected the over-reaching HERO ordinance by 61% to 39%.

It was an interesting election with Bill King and Sylvester Turner emerging in the Mayoral runoff. King was able to consolidate the “run government as a business” voters and Sylvester, the liberal Democrats.

Let’s see how this played out. Bob McNair is sympathetic to conservative causes so he sends a $10,000 donation to Campaign For Houston, which is fighting Mayor Parker’s overreaching so-called “equal rights” ordinance.

Last Monday, with just a week left before early voting begins, Campaign for Houston took to the Houston television airwaves with a hard-hitting commercial against Houston’s Proposition 1.

The supporters of the “HERO” Bathroom Ordinance in the City of Houston are stretching the truth in their hysterical efforts to avoid voter rejection in November.

The illegal immigration problem the U.S. faces has now emerged in Europe with significantly larger implications because of smaller populations and territory.

In the Houston Chronicle on August 26, 2015, Richard Carlbom, spokesman for Houston Unites – the Bathroom Ordinance support group, said in regard to the accusation that the ordinance will allow men to use women’s restrooms, “Nothing in the equal rights ordinance changes the fact that it is and always will be illegal to enter a restroom to harm or harass other people.”

Read the fine print of the ballot language passed by Mayor Parker and a majority of City Council. It is misleading to a fault.

The deal with Iran has been explained and belittled in TCR for a long time. Now we have a deal after the U.S. final capitulations, and it’s now up to Congress to stop this Munich type debacle.
