CITY OF HOUSTON RUNOFFS – YES, THERE ARE REASONS
FOR CONSERVATIVES TO VOTE, IN FACT ITS CRITICAL!
The City of Houston runoff election is underway with early voting from now until Tuesday, December 5 and Election Day on December 9.
Turnout in round one was around 17% and it is estimated that conservatives are about 25% of the registered voters. If you crunch the numbers, you will see that conservatives can affect the runoffs in a positive way.
From the Mayor’s race to at-large and district councilmen, there is a significant difference in the choices.
First, for Mayor, yes, both candidates are Democrats but there are real differences that will affect the future of Houston. On the top core issues, public safety, infrastructure and competent city management issues, the only choice is John Whitmire. The alternative is a third term by Sylvester Turner with Sheila Jackson Lee with all that brings with it – anti-public safety, graffiti, corruption and management incompetence.
Second, turnout can elect the more conservative candidates for City Council. In District G – Tony Buzbee is the choice. In a city where liberals dominate, Tony is an outspoken conservative candidate who should have been elected when he ran for Mayor four years ago. A Buzbee victory would have put an end to the cronyism, corruption, ineffectiveness, and incompetence that Houstonians have endured for the past eight years at the highest levels of City Hall. We have a second bite at the apple to draft this highly effective attorney and former combat Marine who will surely raise Hell at City Hall. He is critical to replacing an ineffective incumbent who has been an ally to Turner and the liberals, as well as offsetting the loss of two term-limited conservative councilmembers Mike Knox and Michael Kubosh who have flown the conservative flag during their terms.
In At Large 1 – Julian Ramirez is the choice as opposed to the Turner-Ellis cabal’s choice; you know when they go all in – they own the candidate—which is what we have with Ramirez’s opponent. Ramirez, a former prosecutor for 27 years, has been, and will be, a voice for victims and all law-abiding citizens of Houston.
In At Large 2 – Willie Davis. A former green beret and pastor of his church; he is an outspoken leader and voice for all. He knows the failures of the City and especially in the minority communities. He will get stuff done for us and not stay quiet.
In At Large 3 – Twila Carter. Her career has personified the thousands points of light concept helping our city from the private sector. The fact that this lady of overwhelming quality is willing to serve our city is a gift to be thankful for. She will be a terrific representative on Houston City Council.
In At Large 4 – Roy Morales. He is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel. An involved member of our community with vast technical training and experience. Roy cares about Houston and will help right the ship and get us going in the right direction.
Third, City Controller – Orlando Sanchez. He is a former Houston City Councilmember and Harris County Treasurer where he was a watchdog for the taxpayers. Orlando knows the city faces a fiscal cliff due to overspending, corruption, and incompetence. Unlike his opponent who is owned by the Turner- Ellis cabal, he will be a loud voice for getting Houston on the right path. His opponent was running for Mayor and dropped out when Sheila Jackson Lee got in, giving his supporting her. His opponent, as the appointed County Clerk, was in the center of the attempt to steal votes in the 2022 elections. Orlando’s opponent has not, and will not, stand up to his friends including Mayor candidate Jackson-Lee. Putting him in the Controller’s office is like getting the fox to guard their henhouse.
Please vote. YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! A big turnout by our voters will mean everything.
